Rhiannon Jackson

Rhiannon Jackson is a visual artist known for her bold and expressive paintings. She left high school early to study art, earning a Bachelor of Media Arts with a major in Visual Arts, becoming the youngest graduate in her class. Rhiannon’s practice is characterised by a hands-on, exploratory approach. She enjoys incorporating vivid colours and blending figures into natural landscapes. For her, painting is an intuitive process that allows her to dive into her emotions and experiences, translating them onto the canvas in real-time.

Creativity, for Rhiannon, is a space where there are no rules or boundaries. It’s a tool for self-expression and storytelling, offering opportunities for growth and self-discovery. She believes that art allows individuals to challenge self-doubt and break through personal limitations, fostering confidence.

“Art is a gift to yourself afterwards—you’re putting all your soul into the work, and what it shows at the end is really rewarding.”

A significant milestone in Rhiannon’s career was her first solo exhibition, which marked a period of personal and artistic growth. She also finds joy in working with others, particularly children, who remind her of the fearless creativity that comes with youth. Watching both children and adults overcome doubt and embrace their creative potential is incredibly rewarding for her. Rhiannon feels blessed to merge her passion for art with her love for helping others, creating a fulfilling daily practice.

Creating bold and expressive paintings, her work blends vivid colours and figures with natural landscapes. Based in Kirikiriroa Hamilton, she believes that creativity is an intuitive, boundary-less tool for self-expression, offering personal growth and a deeper connection with others.
